      10 Oct 2021

We are excited to announce that UBQ Materials has been selected as a National Winner for the 2021 Energy Globe Award!

The award ceremony took place on October 7th, 2021 at UBQ headquarters in Tel Aviv, where Hannah Liko, the Austrian Ambassador to Israel, granted the award to Tato Bigio, UBQ’s CEO and Co-Founder.

The Energy Globe Award, founded in 1999 by the energy pioneer Wolfgang Neumann, is a prestigious sustainability award backed by impressive partners including United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Advantage Austria.

The Energy Globe Award has been recognized as the world award for sustainability and today’s most renowned environmental award worldwide. Its main purpose is to introduce innovative and sustainable projects to a broader audience and this way, increase awareness that many solutions to existing problems are already available.

Over the past 20 years, the Energy Globe database has received more than 20,000 project applications. This year, more than 2,500 projects were submitted by more than 180 countries. The award is honored annually to the best sustainable projects that are addressing environmental issues. It is then presented internationally with 5 finalists in the categories of Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth by the international office of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and UNIDO.
