Scott Tobin is a Senior Partner at Battery Ventures, a global investment firm focused on technology and innovation. Since joining the firm in 1997, Scott has led investments across the United States, the Middle East, and Europe in sectors spanning enterprise infrastructure, materials science, application software, business services, media, and financial services.

Named multiple times to the Forbes Midas List of top global venture capitalists, Scott is recognized for identifying and supporting transformative businesses. An early advocate of UBQ Materials, Scott understood the company’s potential to revolutionize waste management through its pioneering waste-to-resource technology.

His continued support has been instrumental in advancing UBQ’s mission toward a circular and sustainable future. Scott graduated with honors from Brandeis University with a BA in International Relations and Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. He and his wife are proud parents to five sons.
