NPE 2024: Showcasing UBQ’s Innovations in Sustainable Plastics

      27 Apr 2024

As the premier plastics event, NPE 2024 provides an essential platform for exploring the latest innovations shaping the industry. This year, UBQ Materials is at the forefront, demonstrating how we’re transforming waste into bio-based, climate-positive material solutions.

NPE 2024: The Plastics Show

With the theme “Made for You,” NPE 2024 will take place from May 6-10 at the Orlando Convention Center, and an estimated attendance of over 55,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors.

The NPE (National Plastics Exposition) event, founded by the Plastics Industry Association, has a storied history dating back to its inception. This premier event was designed to showcase the innovations and advancements within the plastics industry, offering a comprehensive platform for professionals to connect, learn, and grow.

Over the years, NPE has evolved into a global phenomenon, attracting tens of thousands of attendees from across the world, representing every aspect of the plastics supply chain. Its success is not just measured by the number of attendees or exhibitors but by the significant impact it has had on fostering technological advancements, promoting sustainable practices, and driving economic growth within the industry.

NPE has become an important event for unveiling new products, forging partnerships, and setting industry trends, reflecting its enduring legacy and the vibrant future it promises for the plastics community.

UBQ’s Presence at NPE 2024

Located in the heart of the action, UBQ Materials will be stationed at booth S18027, located in the South Hall, Level 1, and will be showcasing over 30 different applications that have been made with our revolutionary material, UBQ™, turning them into climate-positive, more circular products, including those developed by McDonald’s, Keter, Crescent Garden, Claro, and Lay’s, among others.

Our theme, “Here, There, Everywhere,” reflects our mission to address the ubiquitous problem of waste by offering sustainable, bio-based solutions across industries. And our booth serves as a dynamic, interactive space where visitors can explore and engage with our sustainable solutions firsthand.

Empowering Consumers to Push for Sustainability

On April 22, 2024, and to celebrate Earth Day, UBQ Materials unveiled its first consumer marketing campaign, the “World of UBQ”, aimed at educating the public on the company’s game-changing sustainable material and the potential it has for sustainable consumer products at retail.

The “World of UBQ” campaign utilizes animation and characters to tell the story of UBQ Materials in an engaging and approachable manner. It positions UBQ as a ‘can-do’ sustainability company, delivering real and immediate material solutions to address critical environmental and climate issues.

With humor and strong educational content, the campaign encourages consumers to ask their favorite brands to be more proactive about humanity’s shared future, encouraging them to carry and develop more UBQ-based products.

NPE visitors will have the chance to enjoy the first animated video created for this campaign.
