Professional Background
Dr. Glenn Frommer is a globally recognized expert in sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices, with over 30 years of experience. A Fulbright Fellow and accomplished author, Frommer has been instrumental in shaping sustainability frameworks and policies across industries.
During his 22-year tenure with the Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTRC) Ltd. in Hong Kong, Frommer spearheaded the establishment of sustainability functions, issued China’s first Sustainability Report in 2002, and founded the Sustainable Development Commission for the International Association of Public Transport (UITP). He played a key role in integrating sustainability into global rail franchises and developing major guidelines such as GRI (G2 and G3), SASB, and IIRC.
Currently, Frommer lectures at European universities and consults on ESG reporting, UN SDGs implementation, and climate-positive solutions. As a member of UBQ Materials’ international advisory board, Frommer leverages his extensive expertise to support the company’s circular economy mission. He provides strategic guidance on integrating sustainability into UBQ’s processes, ensuring the company’s innovative solutions align with global environmental and social priorities.
